The wood chipper PL-120E is a disc-type shredder designed for processing wood waste and wood processing residues, capable of transforming branches, tree crowns, forestry waste, and rails into wood chips. The output fraction ranges from 5 to 15 mm, and the size can be adjusted by regulating the knives on the cutting disc. The resulting material is ideal for use as fuel for boilers with screw feed, and from the technological wood chips obtained after additional processing, pellets and fuel pellets are produced.

The wood chipping machine PL-120E consists of a frame with an electric motor, a body, a cutting device, a disc, a hydraulic system – a mechanism for feeding wood, and a sleeve for ejecting wood chips. The electric motor-driven wood chipper is ideal for those who need an autonomous unit.

This wood chipper can be used by forestry enterprises, municipal services, farms, rural and urban councils, etc.

Woodworking waste is fed into the loading hopper, where there are toothed rollers. Turning, they pull the wood into the working area with the cutting disc. The disc is equipped with knives. The drive for the rollers is provided by two hydraulic motors. The drive for the cutting disc is activated by an electric motor with a power of 30 kW.

The power of the wood chipper allows obtaining up to 6 cubic meters of wood chips per hour. The diameter of the input wood should not exceed 120 mm. The fraction thickness at the output is from 5 to 15 mm, depending on the adjustment of the knives on the cutting disc, which can be easily done by opening the top cover.

During rotation, the cutting disc shreds the wood into chips, which are ejected by an air stream through the sleeve. The sleeve rotates 360 degrees, allowing adjusting the direction of chip ejection, and the distance of ejection is regulated by a deflector. The maximum ejection distance is up to 4 meters, allowing the chipping of wood directly into the trailer. Wood chippers, which can be quickly purchased for wood processing, ensure timely preparation for the heating season.

The unique feature of this wood chipper model is its detachable frame with an electric motor. This option allows attaching the chipper to the tractor and operating from the PTO (power take-off shaft). This makes the wood chipper PL-120E versatile and mobile.
