The wood chipper PL-160E

The Wood Chipper PL-160E is a disc-type chipper designed for processing wood waste and woodworking materials. It can transform branches, tree crowns, logging residues, and rails into chips ranging in size from 5 to 20 mm. The processed material is ideal for use as fuel in boilers with screw feed, and the technological chips obtained after additional processing can be used to produce briquettes and fuel pellets.

The wood chipping machine PL-160E consists of a frame with an electric motor, a body, a cutting unit, a disc, a hydraulic system - the mechanism for feeding wood, and a sleeve for ejecting chips. The chipper with an electric motor is perfect for those who need an autonomous unit.

Woodworking waste is fed into the loading hopper, where there are toothed rollers. Rotating, they pull the wood into the working area with the cutting disc. The disc is equipped with knives. The drive for the rollers is provided by two hydraulic motors. The drive for the cutting disc is activated by an electric motor with a power of 30 kW.

The input diameter of the wood should not exceed 160 mm. The size of the chip fraction at the output is adjustable between 5 and 20 mm, depending on the adjustment of the knives on the cutting disc, which can be easily done by opening the top cover. The chipper's power allows for a production capacity of up to 9 cubic meters of chips per hour.

During rotation, the cutting disc shreds the wood into chips, which are ejected by an air stream through the sleeve. The sleeve rotates 360 degrees, allowing the direction of chip ejection to be adjusted, and the ejection distance is regulated by the deflector. The maximum ejection distance is up to 4 meters, allowing the wood to be chipped directly into a trailer.

A unique feature of this model of wood chipper is the detachable frame with an electric motor. This feature allows you to attach the chipper to a tractor and work from the PTO (power take-off shaft), making the wood chipper PL-160E versatile and mobile.
